RTÜK and Croatia’s AEM sign audiovisual media cooperation protocol

Turkey’s Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) and Croatia’s Electronic Media Regulatory Agency (AEM) have signed a cooperation protocol to strengthen institutional ties in the audiovisual media sector.

The agreement aims to facilitate experience sharing regarding global challenges in the digital age, including digitalization, artificial intelligence, media literacy, and the fight against disinformation. The protocol covers various areas such as new media, international relations, technical assistance, broadcasting technologies, and the protection of children and youth from audiovisual media risks.

RTÜK President Mehmet Daniş emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating disinformation, while AEM President Josip Popovac noted that the protocol formalizes a strong relationship that has existed between the two agencies for several years.
