RTL celebrates 60 years with retrospective programming and historical debates

As part of the 60th-anniversary celebrations for the French radio station RTL, various media outlets and personalities are revisiting the station's history and iconic programming.

Melody Radio has announced the rebroadcast of an interview with former host Fabrice, conducted by Gilles Farina-Vallé. The interview, which explores Fabrice's career and his time at RTL, is scheduled for broadcast on Sunday, October 11, and is also available via podcast.

Simultaneously, a debate has emerged regarding the origins of ‘La Valise RTL’, one of the station's most famous games. During the anniversary events, Michel Drucker claimed responsibility for launching the segment. However, historical announcer André Torrent contested this, stating that the concept was actually developed by former program director Roger Kreicher and Dominique, the son of Jean Farran, based on a U.S. radio format called ‘Cash Call’.
