RTL Deutschland appoints Moritz von Nagel to lead distribution

RTL Deutschland has announced a leadership change in its distribution department. Moritz von Nagel will take over the position of Senior Vice President Distribution and Portfolio Transformation, effective October 1. He succeeds Andre Prahl, who is leaving the company at his own request after many years of leading the distribution division.

In his new role, von Nagel will be responsible for the strategic development of the distribution business and managing relationships with platform, technology, and sales partners. He will report to Michael Radelsberger, Chief Consumer Officer of RTL Deutschland, regarding distribution, while continuing to report to Max Orgonyi, Chief Transformation Officer, for his responsibilities in portfolio transformation.

Von Nagel, who joined RTL Deutschland from Sky in June 2024, is expected to leverage his industry experience to expand the reach and availability of the company’s content across TV and streaming platforms. Andre Prahl will assist with the transition and will continue to support RTL Deutschland in an advisory capacity.
