RTL Group implements SAP Datasphere for HR planning

RTL Group has become the first company worldwide to implement and use SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud for its human resources planning. The transition was prompted by the announced end of maintenance for SAP BW 7.5 in late 2027.

Instead of migrating to the direct successor, BW/4HANA, the media company opted for a cloud-first strategy. Supported by SAP partner Infocient Consulting, the project aimed to modernize HR planning through new technology and a revised functional target image. RTL Technology GmbH, the IT partner for RTL Germany, manages the digital infrastructure for approximately 8,000 employees.
