RTL Hungary undergoes programming and editorial changes

RTL Hungary is implementing several changes to its programming lineup and editorial staff. The talk show ‘Heti Hetes’ is expected to return to the airwaves in late November, following a hiatus that began in October. Based on scheduled recording dates in late November and early December, the show may return to its Sunday broadcast slot, potentially bypassing its traditional New Year's Eve special.

Separately, RTL has announced that Kata Márkus is stepping down as the editor-in-chief of the morning program ‘Reggeli’. While the network did not provide an official reason for the departure, reports indicate the decision follows a controversial ‘media hack’ incident involving Dorka Gryllus. During a broadcast, Gryllus appeared to experience a spontaneous health episode involving menopause, which was later revealed to be an undisclosed paid campaign for the drugstore DM. The incident is currently under investigation by the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) and the Self-Regulatory Advertising Body.
