RTL launches fourth season of reality show “Die Verräter” with 18 celebrity contestants

German broadcaster RTL announced the return of its reality competition “Die Verräter” for a fourth season. The eight‑episode series will feature 18 well‑known personalities, including former footballer Max Kruse, actress Hardy Krüger, TV presenter Cathy Hummels, model Papis Loveday, and twins Julia and Nina Meise, among others. Long‑time host Sonja Zietlow returns to preside over the game, in which participants must identify hidden “traitors” while trying to keep the prize of up to €50,000.

The season premieres on 17 August 2026 on RTL in a two‑week event slot, airing Monday to Thursday at 20:15. Episodes will be available earlier on RTL+ starting 3 August, with new installments released on Mondays and Wednesdays. The live finale is scheduled for 27 August on television, with the final episode streaming a day earlier.
