RTL plans record‑long 2027 Dschungelcamp season and launches 'Dschungel Divas' spin‑off

RTL announced that the 2027th‑year edition of its reality series "Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!" will be the longest ever, extending beyond the current 17‑day record. The plan was revealed at the Screenforce Festival in Düsseldorf, with the network promising more jungle challenges, longer stays with limited food, and heightened physical and mental demands for contestants.

Speculation about the 2027 lineup is already circulating. Reality‑TV personality Aleks Petrović, actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, former Germany’s Next Topmodel contestant Godfrey Egbon and others have expressed interest, while former host Elton hinted he would join if asked. RTL has not confirmed any names.

In parallel, the channel introduced a new spin‑off called "Dschungel Divas" that brings back former participants Micaela Schäfer, Giulia Siegel and Janina Youssefian. The series began airing on 3 August on Sat. 1 and the streaming platform Joyn, where the women will again compete in the Colombian jungle for a cash prize while facing temptations that could reduce the jackpot.
