RTL to broadcast HeidiFest after ProSieben exits following low ratings

The television gala "HeidiFest," hosted by Heidi Klum, is shifting networks following disappointing viewership numbers on ProSieben. After the 2025 premiere failed to capture a significant share of the key 14-to-49-year-old demographic—achieving only a 5.9 percent market share—ProSieben has decided not to broadcast a live version of the event again.

RTL has secured the rights to broadcast the Oktoberfest gala from the Munich Hofbräuhaus starting in 2026. While the network change has sparked speculation regarding whether Klum's other major production, "Germany's Next Topmodel" (GNTM), will also move to RTL, the broadcaster has not confirmed or denied such plans. RTL stated that their current focus is on the upcoming "HeidiFest" event and they will communicate further details when there is more to share.
