RTLZWEI announces new episode of debt documentary ‘Deutschland – Deine Schulden’

The social documentary series ‘Deutschland – Deine Schulden’ will air a new episode on RTLZWEI and RTL+ on August 31, 2026. The program explores the lives of individuals facing private insolvency in Germany, where over 5.5 million people are currently overindebted.

The upcoming episode features debt counselor Max Postulka assisting a young couple, Samantha and Nico, who have accumulated nearly 60,000 euros in debt. Additionally, bailiff Sonja Laschet will oversee an eviction of a neglected apartment following months of unpaid rent. The episode also follows MB-Inkasso during a field operation involving a debt dispute between former spouses following a divorce.
