RTLZWEI to launch new dating reality format Maison Tabou

RTLZWEI has announced the launch of a new reality dating format titled ‘Maison Tabou’, scheduled to premiere on September 30, 2026, at 23:35. The program will also be available on RTL+ one week prior to the television broadcast. Produced by UFA Show & Factual, the show focuses on physical attraction and sexual preferences rather than traditional biographical details such as age, profession, or place of residence.

Participants enter the hotel setting by setting aside their everyday identities. The format utilizes sensory blind dates and physical intimacy to facilitate connections, overseen by a mysterious hostess known as ‘Madame’. While Madame organizes the encounters and observes from the background, she remains invisible to the participants. Identities are only revealed during a communal breakfast the following morning, at which point singles must decide whether to pursue a lasting connection or leave the hotel after a single encounter.
