RTPA announces new documentary series and regional fiction projects
Radiotelevisión del Principado de Asturias (RTPA) has announced several new programming developments as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
The broadcaster presented a new five-part documentary series titled ‘Asturies, el pasado que somos’. Created in collaboration with De la Piedra Producciones and the Archaeological Museum of Asturias, the series explores Asturian history from the Neanderthal era through the arrival of Rome. Written by Ángeles Caso, the production focuses on archaeological sites and the daily lives, social organizations, and beliefs of historical inhabitants. The series is scheduled to premiere on September 15.
Additionally, during the FesTVal festival, RTPA introduced ‘Coworkinaos’, a contemporary rural sitcom produced in collaboration with Galician public television (TVG). The project is part of the ‘Asturias y Galicia crean ficción’ initiative, aimed at fostering creative cooperation between the two regions. RTPA also presented ‘Móntate un programa’, a new entertainment and educational format.
