RTP's Independent General Council awaits IGF audit report

The Independent General Council (CGI) of RTP is awaiting a final report from the General Inspection of Finance (IGF) following an audit that identified subsidies considered improper within the public broadcaster.

The CGI stated it is respecting the ongoing inspection procedure and will not preemptively judge conclusions, responsibilities, or management measures until the final report is submitted to the Minister of State and Finance. The council emphasized that while it supervises RTP's administration and defines strategic guidelines, it does not hold management powers over the company's activities.
