RTS employees apologize for news editor's controversial remarks

A group of employees at Radio-televizija Srbije (RTS) has issued a public apology to the citizens of Serbia via social media. The apology follows controversial statements made by Bojana Mlađenović, the editor of the RTS news program, during a guest appearance on TV K1.

In a video released by the staff, they highlighted several of Mlađenović’s remarks that they deemed problematic. The employees emphasized that they had no role in her appointment to such a significant position within the public service broadcaster.

The controversy stems from Mlađenović’s comments regarding public opinion polls and their potential impact on political expectations. She suggested that certain polling data could provide “false hope” to political actors, which might later lead to claims that elections were stolen if results do not align with those expectations.
