RTVD premieres second season of ‘La Familia Espejo’ on broadcast TV

The second season of the Dominican series ‘La Familia Espejo’ is premiering on broadcast television via RTVD (Radio Televisión Dominicana) at 10:00 p.m. Following an initial release on the network's YouTube streaming platform, the show's transition to channel 4 represents a strategic move to adapt to modern audiovisual consumption habits.

Created by Iván Ruiz for RTVD Studios and directed by Tito Rodríguez, the series uses a real family to portray fictionalized versions of everyday Dominican life. Producer Hugo Devana stated that the new season delves into sensitive social issues and explores how characters navigate and overcome various societal challenges.

The cast features Johnnié Mercedes as Berto Espejo and Clara Luz Lozano as Alicia Espejo, alongside their real-life children: Rria Mercedes, Isaac Mercedes, Akuharella Mercedes, and Gaia Mercedes.
