RTVE journalist faces scrutiny over disputed confrontation video

Controversy has emerged regarding the reporting of the RTVE program ‘Malas Lenguas’ following an incident involving a reporter during a demonstration in Madrid. The program initially presented the journalist as a victim of an attack by far-right extremists, with presenter Sarah Santaolalla calling for police action against those she described as ‘nazis’.

However, alternative video footage circulating on social media provides a different perspective. The footage shows the reporter engaging in a heated confrontation with a woman who was filming her, including pointing fingers and demanding, ‘Don’t film me!’

Additional reports suggest the tension stems from coverage related to Ceuta, alleging that the reporter’s conduct was intimidatory toward others attempting to report on the situation. Critics argue the program’s narrative of an ‘ultra aggression’ does not align with the recorded interactions.
