Rojo sobre blanco RTVE Spanish television forensic linguistics police thriller

RTVE has premiered the first episode of its new police procedural series, ‘Rojo sobre blanco’, at the FesTVal festival in Vitoria. The eight-episode series, filmed in Madrid and Tenerife, stars Hugo Silva and María Hervás.

The plot follows Inspector Mario Sandoval as he returns to Madrid, where he meets forensic linguist Daniela Pedreira. The series utilizes forensic linguistics as a central tool for criminal investigations and blends elements of thriller, drama, and comedy within a police station setting.

Produced by Good Mood (Mediawan) and executive produced by Daniel Écija, the production features a large ensemble cast including Irene Arcos, Pablo Derqui, and Manu Baqueiro. The series is directed by Jesús Rodrigo, María Pulido, and David Molina Encinas.
