RTVE pulls 'La Promesa' and 'Valle Salvaje' from schedule for World Cup 2026 coverage

Spain's public broadcaster RTVE altered the La 1 schedule on Monday, 29 June, removing the drama series "La Promesa" and "Valle Salvaje". The changes make way for extensive coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including news programmes, analysis shows and a live broadcast of the Brazil‑Japan round‑of‑16 match.

Both series will resume their regular slots on Tuesday, 30 June, continuing the storylines where they left off.

The programming shift reflects the broadcaster's priority to give full attention to the major international sporting event, temporarily displacing popular domestic fiction for viewers.
