RTVE’s Malas Lenguas Noche sees viewership drop without football boost
The television program ‘Malas Lenguas Noche’, hosted by Jesús Cintora, experienced a significant decline in viewership during its recent broadcast on RTVE’s La 1. Without the audience boost previously provided by UEFA Nations League football matches, the show recorded an 8% audience share and 511,000 viewers. This represents a notable drop from the previous week, when the program reached a 13.6% share and 841,000 viewers following the Spain vs. Czech Republic match.
In the same time slot, ‘La ruleta de la suerte noche’ on La 1 led with 892,000 viewers (9.9% share), while the film ‘Titanic’ on Telecinco also outperformed Cintora’s program. The show’s performance highlights a heavy reliance on sports-related audience carryover. While the program’s predecessor on La 2 maintained a stable 4% share with 378,000 viewers, it was insufficient to sustain the momentum required for the main channel's prime time slot.
