Rubí Enríquez departs from the Ciudad Juárez Municipal DIF

Rubí Enríquez has concluded her term as president of the Municipal DIF (System for the Integral Development of the Family) in Ciudad Juárez. In her farewell message, Enríquez expressed gratitude to her team, the citizens of Juárez, and her husband, Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, stating that serving the community was ‘the greatest honor of my life.’

Enríquez noted that she is leaving satisfied with her work and intends to support her husband’s political projects. She also expressed hope for improved coordination with the federal government to facilitate the arrival of social programs.

Acting Mayor Héctor Ortiz Orpinel announced that Lucía Chavira Acosta will take charge of the DIF municipal. The transition highlights ongoing discussions regarding the institutional autonomy of social assistance programs when leadership positions are held by relatives of elected officials.
