Ruben Amorim calls for improvements after AC Milan victory
AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim expressed a need for tactical improvement following a 2-0 victory over Venezia in Serie A. The match served as Amorim's official home debut at the San Siro stadium.
Despite the win, Amorim noted that the team struggled to control the tempo and maintain possession, which often left defenders in one-on-one situations against Venezia's attackers. He emphasized that the coaching staff will focus heavily on defensive transitions and improving the positioning of central defenders during attacking phases to prevent leaving the defensive half exposed.
The victory was secured through a goal by Gonzalo Ramos and an own goal by Reduan Halal. Amorim also highlighted the impact of tactical substitutions, specifically the introduction of Alexis Saelemaekers and Adrien Rabiot, which provided necessary creativity in the midfield.
