Ruben Amorim defends Pervis Estupiñán after fan boos

AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim has expressed full support for Ecuadorian defender Pervis Estupiñán following criticism from supporters at San Siro. During a 3-2 victory against Atalanta, Estupiñán entered the match in the 74th minute and faced murmurs of disapproval and boos from the home crowd due to perceived defensive struggles.

Amorim took responsibility for the player's selection, stating, “I believe in him and I am convinced that he will be really important for our team.” The coach emphasized that the squad must stand together, noting that if one teammate suffers, the entire team suffers. Amorim also urged fans to support the player, highlighting Estupiñán's hard work and dedication.

Additionally, the manager revealed that several clubs attempted to sign the former Brighton player during the recent transfer window, but Amorim personally intervened to ensure he remained with the club.
