AC Milan targets Gonçalo Inácio for January transfer window
AC Milan is actively planning for the January transfer window under head coach Ruben Amorim. A primary target is Sporting CP defender Gonçalo Inácio. Milan previously attempted a €40 million move in late August, which failed because Sporting could not secure a replacement in time. The club is expected to revisit this offer in January, as Inácio is a priority for Amorim, who previously coached him.
Other transfer interests include Lecce's Tiago Gabriel and Real Madrid's Endrick. Additionally, Milan is monitoring Cagliari's young forward Paul Mendy, though competition from Inter and Roma exists. On the squad side, Diego Moreira is emerging as a potential starter, while Matteo Gabbia has seen his role diminish in favor of Koni De Winter.
Under owner Gerry Cardinale, the club is shifting toward a more attractive, attacking style of play. This tactical evolution, often referred to as ‘Amorim-ball,’ has already gained social media attention following impressive passing sequences in recent matches.
