Ruben Amorim rules out near‑term signings of Sporting players for Milan

Ruben Amorim, newly appointed coach of AC Milan, has indicated that recruiting players from Sporting CP is not part of his immediate plan. After his move from Sporting to Milan was confirmed, media speculation linked names such as Morten Hjulmand, Francisco Trincão and Pedro Gonçalves to potential transfers. Amorim said his priority is to evaluate Milan’s current squad during the pre‑season that begins on 12 July, rather than pursue any significant investment in those Sporting players.

The coach emphasized that while interest from the Italian club could arise, there is no current intention to make a move, and any such deal would require a substantial outlay.
