Ruben Amorim takes charge of AC Milan, eyes new signings

Portuguese manager Rubén Amorim has been appointed head coach of AC Milan on a two‑year contract that runs until 2028, with an option for a third year and a net salary of €3.5 million per season. The club expects the new coach to restore the Rossoneri to the Champions League after two disappointing Serie A campaigns.

With the transfer window set to open on 29 June, Milan’s sporting directors have begun planning acquisitions. Amorim has identified striker Gonçalo Ramos and winger Francisco Trincão as priority targets, while also monitoring midfield options such as Morten Hjulmand. At the same time, several players are reportedly on the club’s outgoing list, including forward Rafael Leão, veteran Luka Modrić, and others such as Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot, whose futures remain under review.
