Ruben Lațcău assumes duties as Mayor of Timișoara

Ruben Lațcău has assumed the duties of Mayor of Timișoara following the premature end of Dominic Fritz’s mandate. Lațcău, formerly the Deputy Mayor, stated that his administration’s primary focus will be the completion of ongoing investment projects, which are valued at over 250 million euros.

Lațcău noted that he intends to collaborate with Fritz while working to secure a majority in the Local Council to facilitate the approval of municipal projects. He also expressed anticipation regarding potential political challenges and investigations, asserting that the administration will not be intimidated.
