Ruben Loftus-Cheek faces uncertain future at AC Milan
AC Milan has frozen contract renewal negotiations with English midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek due to his recent performance levels. The player, whose contract expires in June, has struggled to find consistency under manager Ruben Amorim, recording only five appearances and 210 minutes played so far this season.
Statistical data indicates Loftus-Cheek has covered 25.8 km in the opening five matches, the lowest among Milan players with significant minutes. Because of this dip in impact, Milan is delaying discussions regarding his current salary of approximately 4 million euros net per season.
If a turnaround in performance does not occur, Loftus-Cheek may leave the club as a free agent in June. Several Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation to potentially sign him without a transfer fee. Additionally, Juventus has previously shown interest in the midfielder and could revisit the possibility of a move to strengthen their midfield.
