Ruben Neves expresses interest in potential Wolverhampton Wanderers return

Ruben Neves has expressed a desire to rejoin Wolverhampton Wanderers in the future, according to reports. The 29-year-old midfielder, who is currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, has reportedly told friends that he ‘would love’ to return to the club where he spent six years between 2017 and 2023.

Neves, a former Wolves captain and Portugal international, is currently under contract with Al-Hilal until 2029. While a return to Molineux is a stated interest, it would likely require a significant reduction from his current wages, which are reported to be approximately £400,000 per week.

His interest in a second stint is reportedly tied to the club's status; Neves is said to be particularly motivated to return if Wolverhampton Wanderers can secure a place in the Premier League. Neves remains a highly regarded figure at the club, having made 253 appearances and scoring 30 goals during his initial tenure.
