Ruben Onsu legal investigation terminated after Rp 3.5 billion settlement

The investigation into alleged fraud and embezzlement involving presenter Ruben Onsu has been officially terminated. The South Jakarta Metro Police issued a Suspension of Investigation Order (SP3) following a restorative justice process and a settlement with the complainant, identified as DM.

Onsu’s legal counsel, Machi Achmad, confirmed that the presenter has paid Rp 3.5 billion in principal compensation to his former business partner without interest or penalties. This payment aims to resolve the dispute and restore Onsu’s financial cash flow, which had been impacted by the unpaid funds.

Separately, Onsu has expressed personal exhaustion regarding ongoing life challenges, with reports suggesting he briefly considered leaving the entertainment industry due to the cumulative pressure of various personal and professional issues.
