Ruben Van Gucht disqualified from De Verraders

Ruben Van Gucht has been disqualified from the reality television program ‘De Verraders’ after repeatedly violating the rules of the game. Host Staf Coppens announced the decision, stating that while Van Gucht is a passionate and competitive player, his actions were deemed too dangerous for the integrity of the program.

The disqualification followed incidents where Van Gucht allegedly compromised tasks by engaging in lengthy disputes over regulations and attempting to vote for himself. While some contestants viewed his behavior as sabotage, fellow participant Tom De Cock expressed a level of admiration for Van Gucht’s strategy, suggesting he was attempting to ‘crack the code’ of the game due to an extreme drive to win.

Van Gucht has expressed that he finds the exclusion disproportionate, though the production maintains that the rules must be strictly upheld to preserve the trust required for the game to function.
