Ruben Van Gucht disqualified from ‘De Verraders’

Sport journalist Ruben Van Gucht has been disqualified from the television program ‘De Verraders’ after repeatedly breaking the rules of the game. Presenter Staf Coppens announced the decision, stating that Van Gucht’s competitive behavior, including voting for himself and causing delays during tasks by debating regulations, made him a risk to the integrity and trust required for the show.

The disqualification has sparked significant public debate and criticism. In response to the backlash, Van Gucht’s partner, Charlotte Van Looy, defended him on social media, dismissing the criticism directed at him following the incident.
