Rubens Barrichello returns to Stock Car and international karting

Brazilian racing driver Rubens Barrichello is returning to Stock Car competition, sponsored by ALE Combustíveis. Driving the number 111 car for the ALE Full Time Sports team, Barrichello will participate in two championship stages: Brasília on September 26-27 and Interlagos on December 12-13.

A notable aspect of this return is the opportunity for Barrichello to compete alongside his youngest son, Fernando “Fefo” Barrichello, within the same team. This marks the first time the father and son will compete together in a Stock Car race.

In addition to his Stock Car return, the 54-year-old driver has also re-entered international karting competition. Competing for Birelart in the FIA Karting event at Le Mans, Barrichello finished 15th in the KZ2 Masters category. This participation is linked to the “Barrichello Kart” project, a development collaboration between the driver and the manufacturer Birelart.
