Rubens Menin expands investments in Portugal's Douro region

Brazilian businessman Rubens Menin, owner of CNN Brasil with interests in construction, banking, and sports, is expanding his investments in Portugal’s Douro region through Menin Douro Estates.

Menin highlighted the high quality and global potential of the Douro terroir, comparing its growth prospects to the Priorat region in Spain. He noted that Port wine serves as a global ambassador for the region, seeing increased demand in markets such as China, the United States, Canada, and Brazil.

As part of his expansion, Menin Douro Estates has recently acquired additional land adjacent to its existing properties and holds interests in Horta Osório in the Baixo Corgo region. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with local universities and other producers to maximize the region's potential.
