Rubrik launches Code Guardian AI for automated code red-teaming

Rubrik has introduced Rubrik Code Guardian, a new security solution designed to perform automated red-teaming on source code. The service utilizes a custom harness powered by Anthropic’s Claude Mythos 5 model to identify and prioritize cybersecurity risks.

To ensure operational safety, the tool analyzes air-gapped copies of customer repositories rather than accessing live production systems or repositories directly. This approach allows for frontier-level vulnerability analysis while minimizing the risk of impact on active environments. The system is designed to uncover complex, multi-step vulnerability chains that span different files, services, authentication patterns, and cloud boundaries.

Beyond mere identification, Code Guardian evaluates whether a vulnerability is actually exploitable and assesses the potential damage radius and business criticality. Findings and remediation recommendations are integrated into existing developer workflows via tools like Jira and GitHub. The solution is currently in a private preview phase for selected partners.
