Rud ice cream manufacturer warehouse destroyed by Russian drone

A Russian drone strike has completely destroyed a cold storage warehouse belonging to Rud, Ukraine’s largest ice cream manufacturer, in Zhytomyr. The attack occurred on September 5 at approximately 16:05 in the southeastern outskirts of the city.

The destroyed facility covered 4,350 square meters and included administrative and utility buildings. The strike resulted in the loss of finished products, transport vehicles, and other company property. Olga Blazkevych, head of the legal department at Rud, confirmed the destruction and stated that criminal proceedings have been initiated.

Rud holds approximately 30% of the Ukrainian ice cream market and is a significant exporter, with products sold in over 36 countries through major retail chains. The company processes more than 35,000 tons of milk annually and distributes goods to over 75,000 retail outlets across Ukraine.
