Ruda Śląska police issue nearly 70 fines during cyclist safety operation

Police in Ruda Śląska conducted a safety operation titled ‘Safe Cyclist’ to monitor users of bicycles and electric scooters. During the enforcement action, officers identified nearly 70 traffic violations, the majority of which involved cyclists.

In addition to issuing fines, officers engaged in preventive measures by distributing reflective elements and vests to improve visibility as daylight hours decrease during the autumn season. The police emphasized that users of two-wheeled vehicles are vulnerable road users who lack the protection of a vehicle body, making adherence to traffic laws, regular technical inspections, and the use of helmets and lighting essential for preventing serious injuries.
