Rudnik uglja Pljevlja donates 20,000 euros for Borovičko Lake renovation
Rudnik uglja Pljevlja (RUP) has donated 20,000 euros toward the development and landscaping of the area surrounding Borovičko Lake. The funds were used to purchase materials and equipment, including a pontoon, summer houses, and concrete service grills.
The company stated that the donation aims to make the area a safe, functional, and organized space for citizens to use throughout the season. RUP noted that mining activities had previously significantly altered and devastated the area, making its reclamation and sanitation a priority task.
Over the last three years, the company has been working on the reclamation of these surfaces. This effort is part of a larger plan for the recovery of Pljevlja, which includes the construction of a sports and recreational complex to transform Borovičko Lake into a recognizable local excursion site.
