Rudolf Chloupek returns to Jihlava city council

Rudolf Chloupek, a 75-year-old politician active in local politics since 1998, is returning to the Jihlava city council. After a four-year hiatus, Chloupek was elected as the tenth candidate on the ANO movement list.

Chloupek previously served as a councilor for sixteen years and as mayor for four years representing the ČSSD. He stated that his decision to run with ANO as an independent candidate stemmed from his departure from the Social Democrats, citing disagreements with the party's direction and its association with the Stačilo movement during parliamentary elections.

Despite being part of the opposition, Chloupek indicated he may support the coalition on certain matters and intends to use his experience and knowledge of city projects to influence local governance.
