Rudolf Hrušínský mladší celebrates 80th birthday
Czech actor Rudolf Hrušínský mladší celebrated his 80th birthday on October 5. To mark the occasion, the cast and production team of the long-running TV Nova series ‘Ulice’ organized a surprise celebration on set. Hrušínský, who has portrayed the character Vlastimil Pešek since the series premiered in 2005, was joined by numerous current and former co-stars.
Despite his milestone, the actor is currently managing health challenges related to a recent diagnosis of sarcoidosis. The condition causes inflammatory issues and mobility difficulties, yet Hrušínský remains committed to his professional work. He continues to perform in the series and has been appearing at the Divadlo Bez zábradlí theater since January of last year.
In addition to his acting career, Hrušínský has previously engaged in painting and fishing, though he noted that the theft of his fishing equipment and the passage of time have impacted these hobbies. He remains a prominent figure in a renowned acting family, continuing a legacy that includes over 150 roles.
