RUF unveils Ehra grand tourer with 650 hp and manual gearbox

German manufacturer RUF has unveiled the Ehra at Monterey Car Week, a new model that serves as the company’s first grand tourer. While the vehicle’s aesthetic evokes a classic Porsche 911, it is built upon a proprietary carbon fiber monocoque chassis designed to minimize weight, resulting in a total mass of 1,325 kg.

The Ehra is powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged boxer engine producing 650 hp and 900 Nm of torque. This powertrain allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.2 to 3.3 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a variable torque distribution system and a seven-speed manual transmission.

Technical features include a double-wishbone suspension with active dampers, magnesium five-spoke wheels with center locks, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler that extends at high speeds for stability. The braking system consists of six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear. The interior is characterized by a combination of leather and titanium materials.
