Rugby Brasil Experience draws 10,000 fans to São Paulo

The Rugby Brasil Experience, held at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in São Paulo, brought approximately 10,000 spectators to witness a major rugby event. The program featured university rugby, the Campeonato Paulista final, and international matches.

The main event featured the Brazilian men's national team, the Tupis, against The Classics, a team composed of New Zealand rugby legends including seven world champions. The New Zealand side won the match 62 to 35. In the women's exhibition match, the South African national team defeated the Brazilian Yaras 7 to 0.

The event was promoted by Brasil Rugby and the City of São Paulo. It marked the return of rugby to major stadiums in the region for the first time since 2018.
