Rugby Club Toulonnais unveils 2026‑27 home jersey with maritime heritage
On 28 July 2024, Rugby Club Toulonnais (RCT) presented its home kit for the 2026‑27 season in a video released from the Toulon harbour. The new jersey, supplied by Nike, is dominated by red, paired with black shorts and socks, and incorporates naval motifs such as a compass, an anchor, rope‑like graphics and a helm‑bar to evoke the city’s historic maritime identity.
Inside the collar the words “La Horde Sauvage” appear, a tribute to the champion RCT side of the 1986‑87 season led by Daniel Herrera, marking the 40th anniversary of that triumph. Player numbers on the back use a corsair‑style typeface and include the names of partner clubs involved in the RCT Passion programme, underscoring the link between the professional team and local amateur rugby.
The design is described as a bridge between generations of the club, symbolising solidarity, collective direction and a continued connection to Toulon’s seafaring past.
