Rugby League World Cup to feature PDRL tournament and Wales funding appeal

The 2026 Rugby League World Cup will feature the second Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) World Cup, held alongside the Men’s, Women’s, and Wheelchair tournaments. The PDRL event will be hosted at AIIMS Stadium in Cabramatta, Australia, with the final scheduled for November 8 at Allianz Stadium. The tournament is expected to include national teams from Australia, England, and New Zealand.

In preparation for the upcoming Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup in Australia, the Wales wheelchair rugby team has launched the ‘10,000 for CYMRU’ campaign. The initiative seeks to raise £10,000 following the last-minute withdrawal of a major shirt sponsor. The funds are intended to cover essential costs for the squad, including travel, training facilities, medical supplies, and specialized equipment required for international competition.
