Rugby police launch major search for two missing schoolgirls

Warwickshire Police have launched an extensive search operation to locate two missing schoolgirls, Angelica, 11, and Verity, 12. The girls, who are believed to be together, were reported missing from Rugby and have links to both Rugby and Cornwall.

Officers reported a possible sighting of the girls in the Newbold area of Rugby at approximately 4am on Sunday, August 9. The search has escalated to include the use of a police helicopter, house-to-house enquiries, CCTV checks, and digital tracking efforts.

Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Nailor stated that the search will continue until the girls are found. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and contact emergency services immediately if they see the girls, but have requested that residents do not attempt to organize their own independent searches.
