Ruhi Çenet releases documentary on Hasidic Jewish communities

Turkish digital content creator Ruhi Çenet has released a new documentary titled ‘The World’s Most Secret Jewish Community: Hasidics,’ focusing on Hasidic Jewish communities in and around New York.

In the documentary, Çenet spent 48 hours observing the strict religious lifestyle of these communities, where daily life is governed by rigid rules regarding internet usage, physical contact between spouses, and social conduct. The film highlights the diversity within Hasidic groups; while some conservative factions like Satmar strictly limit technology, others, such as the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, utilize the internet for religious education and communication.

Çenet, a prominent YouTuber born in Aydın, Turkey, in 1990, is known for his documentary-style travel content that explores remote regions and unusual living conditions. His work often focuses on uncovering hidden aspects of different cultures and societies.
