Ruhr-in-Love festival draws 30,000 attendees as police record 170 drug offenses
The 23rd Ruhr-in-Love electronic‑music festival took place on 4 July 2026 in the Olga Park of Oberhausen, Germany. About 30,000 visitors enjoyed performances by 250 DJs across 25 stages, featuring genres such as techno, house, hardstyle and trance. Highlights included a back‑to‑back set by Klaudia Gawlas and Felix Kröcher, a 360° water stage, and acts like Gregor Tresher, Neelix and Le Shuuk. Organiser I‑Motion announced ticket sales for the 2027 edition.
Police in Oberhausen reported a strong focus on drug‑related offences. Officers opened 173 drug‑law proceedings, filed 10 DUI charges, and launched six additional investigations, resulting in nine arrests and four expulsions. The event was otherwise described as largely peaceful.
