Rumble pivots to AI infrastructure via Quake AI

Rumble is pivoting toward AI infrastructure through its Quake AI business, following a $767 million acquisition of assets from Northern Data. The company aims to leverage its existing cloud, content-delivery network, and data-center assets to provide GPU-as-a-service capabilities.

Group CFO Mike Massey stated that Quake AI currently operates 22,000 Hopper-generation GPUs, primarily in Europe, serving over 50 customers across various workloads including inference and training. The company reported that GPU fleet utilization rose from under 20% last year to over 83% in the first half of this year.

A significant milestone for the division includes a multiyear, $270 million agreement with Together AI for NVIDIA B300 GPUs. Additionally, Rumble is exploring the use of its video data for AI training, noting interest from robotics companies in spatial and temporal video datasets.
