Rumen Radev stresses importance of judicial council election

While attending the International Space Summit in Paris, Rumen Radev emphasized that the election of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) is critical for Bulgaria's development across all sectors. Radev noted that the refusal of certain political parties, specifically mentioning GERB, to nominate candidates suggests internal confusion and fear. He called for parliamentary cooperation to select the most suitable candidates, with the SJC election expected by mid-November and the selection of a Prosecutor General anticipated in early 2027.

Additionally, Radev highlighted Bulgaria's growing role in space technology and its contribution to the European space ecosystem. He noted that Bulgarian companies, such as EnduroSat, are actively participating in the sector. He also mentioned plans to transform the former military airfield in Dobroslavtsi into a development center for space and defense technologies.
