Rumer Willis moves to Nashville following custody ruling

Actress Rumer Willis has relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, following a legal dispute regarding the custody of her three-year-old daughter, Louetta. Willis, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, described the cross-country move as a “leap of faith” in a social media post.

The relocation follows a court ruling in which a California judge granted Willis temporary primary physical custody of Louetta. The legal proceedings involved Willis's former partner, musician Derek Richard Thomas. During the dispute, Willis alleged “incessant domestic violence” by Thomas, a claim supported by Demi Moore, who described his behavior as “aggressive.”

Under the established parenting schedule, Thomas maintains joint legal custody. His visitation rights were initially set to be monitored before transitioning to unmonitored overnight visits. Willis previously announced a move from Los Angeles to Idaho in early 2025 before her recent transition to Nashville.
