Rumkale Festival to host sports and cultural events in Gaziantep

The 7th Rumkale Festival is scheduled to take place from September 7 to 13 in the historic Rumkale area of the Yavuzeli district. Organized by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, the event features a variety of sporting and cultural activities.

Key events include the Turkey Rowing Cup on September 7-8, trekking tours on September 7-8 and 10-11, a cycling tour on September 9, and camping activities from September 11-13. The festival will also host the Turkey Dragon Boat Championship on September 12-13, held in collaboration with the Turkish Canoe Federation. This championship will feature races on a 200-meter, 6-lane course.

In addition to sports, the festival will include DJ performances. Participants interested in the competitions must complete their applications by August 31. Winners of the various sporting events will be awarded medals and prizes.
