Rumors of Kim Jong-un's death dismissed as unverified
Unverified rumors claiming North Korean leader Kim Jong-un died from a cerebral hemorrhage have circulated online. The claims, spread by US-based Chinese dissident Wanjun Xie, suggested that Kim was treated at Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing before passing away and being replaced by a body double.
No medical records, witness testimonies, or independent evidence have been provided to support these allegations. In response to the speculation, North Korean state media released footage showing Kim Jong-un appearing in good health.
South Korea's National Intelligence Service has also dismissed the rumors. While the claims have sparked online debate regarding potential succession involving Kim Ju-ae and raised concerns about regional stability, official intelligence assessments contradict the reports of the leader's death.
